Junior Section 2 of 9

2. Safeguarding

Didcot Cricket Club (DCC) is proud of its growing and thriving junior section and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding. Ensuring a safe, friendly, secure, and enjoyable environment for all children and young people is a shared responsibility across the club, with every member—playing or non-playing—playing their part.

Safeguarding at DCC is guided by the ECB’s Safe Hands policy, alongside support and guidance from Oxfordshire County Cricket. The club’s own safeguarding policy can be found below.

For any concerns, DCC’s Safeguarding Officers, Laura Lovelock, Karen Hall & Rachel Howman, are the first point of contact for parents, children, and volunteers, and are happy to help via welfare@didcotcricketclub.com. If matters are unable to be resolved by the club officers Vicki Selby, County Safeguarding Manager for Oxfordshire, can be contacted at safeguarding@oxoncb.com
