Didcot Under 11s produced an excellent all-round performance to defeat Thame by reaching 79-1, chasing down Thame's total of 77-4 in an entertaining contest.

After winning the toss, Didcot elected to field and immediately put pressure on the Thame batting line-up. The bowlers shared the workload effectively and were rewarded with regular wickets throughout the innings.

The first breakthrough came from Jerry New, who bowled F Key, before Christopher Bull struck to remove J Doig and keep Thame in check. The bowlers maintained good discipline through the middle overs, making scoring difficult and forcing the batters to work hard for every run. Charlie Reason then picked up another wicket when he bowled J Constant, while Shiv Panchal claimed the final wicket of the innings with a run-out to complete a strong team bowling display.

Thame battled hard, with J Witherspoon and O Penny helping steer the innings, but Didcot's persistence ensured they finished on a manageable 77-4.

In reply, Didcot's chase began steadily. Jerry New looked positive from the outset, striking a boundary in his contribution of 6 before becoming the only wicket to fall. From that point, Didcot took control of the match through a superb partnership between Shiv Panchal and William Dagnell.

Shiv Panchal played an important supporting role, rotating the strike cleverly and running aggressively between the wickets. At the other end, William Dagnell produced the innings of the match. After settling in, he played a series of confident attacking shots, finding the boundary on multiple occasions and keeping the scoreboard moving at just the right time.

His fluent batting included several well-timed fours, and together the pair guided Didcot ever closer to their target. Their partnership ensured there were few alarms as the chase progressed, and Didcot eventually reached 79-1, securing a deserved victory.
