International star to inspire players across the club

Didcot Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Queentor Abel to the club for the 2026 season.

Queentor arrives with an outstanding cricketing pedigree, having represented Kenya in 69 international matches since 2019. In 2023, she was recognised on the global stage as the ICC Associate Nations Women’s Cricketer of the Year, underlining her impact on the international game.

A genuine all-rounder, Queentor is known not only for her performances with bat and ball, but also as an exceptional fielder, bringing energy and professionalism wherever she plays.

Off the field, she brings a wealth of experience as a coach, with eight years of coaching across schools, regional sides, and the Kenya U19 squad. Her passion for developing players makes her a fantastic addition to the club both on and off the pitch.

Throughout the summer, Queentor will play a key role in growing the game locally. She will be:

  • Working with schools in Didcot, helping to inspire more girls to take up cricket
  • Coaching Didcot Spirit, our women’s softball team, on Monday evenings
  • Offering 1-to-1 and small group coaching sessions for players looking to develop their skills

Alongside her work with the club, Queentor will also be playing on Sundays for Moreton Mavericks in the Women’s Home Counties Premier League.

This is an exciting opportunity for players and the wider community to learn from and play alongside a world-class cricketer, and we’re thrilled to have Queentor as part of the Didcot CC family this season.
